I attended the Association for Asian Studies (AAS) Annual Conference in Vancouver, Canada. This was a remarkable experience to immerse myself in Asian studies and be surrounded by scholars in the field.
The AAS is the world’s largest academic gathering dedicated to the study of Asia. It brought together students, scholars, educators, and professionals from across the globe to share research and build collaboration in the field of Asian Studies.
With more than 3,900 attendees, the conference took place at the Vancouver Convention Center and nearly by hotels. The conference was packed full of exciting events from lectures to book sale exhibit hall, film shows, posters, and educational sessions.

Exhibit Hall

Press from numerous universities
Research businesses such as EBSCO and China Data Lab
Institute of East Asian Studies - University of California Berkely
Talent and Job opportunities
Publishers
And more!

This was a fantastic opportunity to connect with graduate students and professors. I was able to gain a deeper understanding of Asian studies and reaffirm my passion for this field.
