Southern Oregon East Asia Awareness Community Outreach

My non-profit Southern Oregon East Asian Awareness hosted an educational event at the Medford public library. The event was free and open to the public. I displayed an educational board of East Asian countries sharing key facts and features of the country such as political structure, economy, religious, and cultural practices. In addition, I hosted an origami event where I taught participants on how to create origami and participate in the activity.

This was a fun was to engage particularly youth to interest and curiosity of new cultures. It provided an opportunity to learn more about Japanese art while creating something of their own. The event helped bring forth appreciation for cultures around the world.
