NCLS International Business and Finance Camp

This summer I attended the National Student Leadership Conference's summer camp at University of California Berkeley. This camp was an International Business and Finance camp.

I met other students from Russia, China, Hong Kong, Australia, and the U.S. We explored how global markets connect economies, industries, and cultures around the world. We were able to adopt a global mindset through simulations and learn how companies expand across borders, navigate trade policies, and adapt to shifting economic landscapes. We acted as a global strategist through hands-on challenges and discussions to reveal how innovation, diplomacy, and financial insight drive business on an international scale. We visited the Intel Museum and Tesla factory.

Visiting the Intel Museum was exciting and gave me a closer look at how technology and innovation shape our everyday lives. I learned the history of the computer and how advances in semiconductor technology have transformed the world.

Visiting the Tesla factory provided a fascinating look into modern electric vehicles and all of the robots and machinery that it takes to build them.

Seeing both companies firsthand helped me appreciate the creativity, engineering, and innovation that goes into developing technologies. It showed me that technology requires understanding relationships between cultures, countries, and economies.

I was able to use my Mandarin language to communicate with other students. We learned about the global economy and simulated real work business problems. I met new people and built some wonderful international relationships.
