About Me

Growing up in Japan gave me a deep appreciation for the richness of East Asian culture from an early age. Surrounded by traditions, language, and daily practices deeply rooted in history, I developed a natural curiosity about the broader region. As I traveled across Asia--visiting South Korea, Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Taiwan--I was fascinated by the shared threads and distinct differences that shaped each society. These experiences opened my eyes to the complexity and beauty of East Asia's cultural, political, and historical landscapes, inspiring me to pursue East Asian Studies and deepen my understanding of the region's past, present, and future.
